I started piano classes in Brooklyn Melodies in 2009 (I was 8) and I had weekly classes until I finished ABRSM’s Grade 8. At first, I had Ms Katrina as a teacher but when she left, I was put into classes with Ms Jorjeta… Honestly, I was very lucky to be with one of the best teachers in the school. I was very nervous to be with a new teacher, but she made me feel very welcome and she taught me so much more about piano. My playing improved a lot because of her, and I was pushed to do my best – she even managed to get me to enter a piano competition! I’d normally go to classes with my sisters, and whilst waiting, I’d normally have a chat with the other staff. They’re all very friendly. By the end of my whole piano course, I’d managed to make friends. The teachers bring out the best in you, offering extra lessons and mock exams to help you prepare for your exams and recitals. The shops are all reachable and have a nice layout. They also smell nice! I really enjoyed going to Brooklyn Melodies for my piano classes. I’m sure others will agree too.
